OUR STORY

Founded by a WWII veteran of the Normandy Invasion, Kennedy Insignia has evolved from a humble assembler of awards in 1969 to become a state of the art supplier and manufacturer of military insignia, award medals, and challenge coins in support of our armed forces.   To keep pace with the ever-evolving global business, we combine our in-house manufacturing capabilities with the latest digital technologies to shrink lead times, continually improve quality, and reduce response times to the ever-changing business and government demands of our 21st century.

Our mission at Kennedy Insignia is to support the manufacturing demands of our rapidly moving governmental clients, military base managers, and diverse military customers. We are certified as a development and manufacturing source by the Institute of Heraldry, and with lean manufacturing techniques and continuous process improvement, we strive to create product and complete military packages that are relevant and within budget. Continuing automation of our facility provides great value to the customer and ultimately the recipient of each and every coin, insignia, and military award that recognizes the sacrifices of our military personnel. In short, we provide our global military clients the highest quality products and on time services which in turn will help them accomplish their missions wherever they may be.

OUR FACILITY

Located on the west shore of beautiful Narragansett Bay, our factory is located in the former Quonset Point Naval Air Station. Each year, we produce millions of individual products in support of our military men and women. We use tens of thousands of pounds of various grades of brass and other precious and non-precious metals in our stamping processes, and we off a wide range of finish options for our customers from Semper-Black on most insignia to Semper-Brite which is our in house and exclusive high gloss, hand polished gold finishes.  Semper-Brite is available on most of the most popular medals. Visit our custom finishes page to learn more about our unique processes.

Our operations are a zero emissions facility with 100% with recycled waters used in our stamping presses, plating lines, and cleaning operations. Our cleaning systems all use bio-degradable, citric based cleaners which have long since replaced the toxic cleaners previously used. We prove that not only can we be good custodians to our local environment, but we can also demonstrate that it is cost effective as well. Currently our plating operation recycles all rinses and metals using 99% of materials, saving thousands of dollars every year in lost materials and unnecessary pollution controls.

Keeping our facility a green factory is one of our core beliefs.
